One of the strengths of the CNC EDM machine is that the diameter of the hole is very small. For example, the diameter of a hole can be as thin as one hair, and when drilling a very small hole on a hard material. CNC EDM machining is particularly suitable for the processing of hard materials with conductive properties. Machining precision round micro-holes generally range from ¢0.3 to ¢3mm. For example, with a 1.0mm diameter electrode, a drilling depth of 700mm can be achieved. The maximum drilling speed hitherto achieved on high-alloy materials is approximately 60 mm/min.

CNC EDM small hole machines can be used in tools and mold manufacturing industries, aerospace and aerospace industries, machine tool manufacturing, glass industry, automotive manufacturing and pharmaceutical industries. The main applications are primary drill holes, nozzle holes, vent holes (for example, casting molds for the automotive industry), cooling holes for plastic tools, and vacuum holes for turbos.

The cooling ventilation inlets and outlets are drilled on the turbine blades with a great inclination. Compared with the traditional drilling process, the advantages of the SEJ-GK06 CNC EDM machine are very obvious. Traditional machining processes have problems at levels below 1 mm, and mechanical drilling is completely replaced by EDM drilling in a diameter range of 0.3 to 3.0 mm (in special cases up to 10 mm). The advantage is that it saves a great deal of time and money because phenomena such as bit breakage, passivation, and grinding are no longer present.

Numerically controlled EDM hole machining ensures high aperture accuracy, hole verticality and cylindricity, and no burrs or deflections. Hardened steel can also be processed by CNC EDM. Therefore, it is possible to avoid the phenomenon of quenching and deformation of conventional quenched plates after drilling. Even hard-to-cut materials (such as tungsten, titanium, Inconel, nickel-base alloys, stainless steel alloys, and molybdenum, etc.) can be processed. EDM machines can enter the surface of a workpiece at extremely steep angles and erode through unknown voids. The entire process is precisely controlled without the need to set precise drilling depth in advance.
